Join the International Business Society this Wednesday, February 24 and have lunch with Assistant Professor Tim Samples of Terry College’s Legal Studies Program. Professor Samples has worked in law firms in Latin America and his research is focused on legal issues affecting international investment, including sovereign debt and frameworks for energy investment. Rosemarie Lieffring has years of experience in quality management in a global environment with emphasis in aseptic processing and related quality controls in the animal health industry. She currently works at Merial, a world-leading, innovation-driven animal health company, providing a comprehensive range of products to enhance the health and well-being of a wide range of animal species, from pharmaceutical drugs to biological vaccines to wellness products! She now sees her primary purpose as a mentor to help build the next generation of Quality Professionals.
Darren W. DeVore serves as principal of The Carroll Organization, one of the country’s leading privately held real estate companies focused on multifamily investment, management, and development. Darren works with each Carroll business unit on strategy, development, and growth. He was a recipient of the 2014 Distinguish Alumni Award and we are very fortunate to have him joining us. Dr. Julio Sevilla is one of very few Hispanic-American marketing faculty members in the country. He earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from La Universidad Americana in Nicaragua, a master’s degree in international business from Florida International University and a PhD in marketing from Miami University in Florida. Dr. Sevilla is an expert in consumer behavior and decision making and does research in consumer psychology. This will be a very fun and interesting learning opportunity.
Join the IB Society Executive Team and several of your peers to learn about their experience abroad! The panel will consist of students who have both interned abroad and studied abroad and it is a great opportunity for you to learn about what immersing in a different culture is really like. The panelists will talk about their varied experiences and then they will open the floor to any questions you may have.
